In the 1970s he discovered sculpture in the studio of Jean Loup Delaroche in Loudun and took drawing lessons at the Academy of Jacques Gabriel Chevalier.
After graduating from the Boulle School (Ecole Supérieure d'Arts Appliqués) in Paris, major of his class in sculpture, he devoted himself to interior decoration for 15 years. Returning to his
first passion, in 1999 he won a national competition to create the bust of François Mitterrand erected in the gardens of Château-Chinon.
