Dialogue with Pierre Mouzat, sculptor of the unspeakable

"A moving meeting before, during, and also after... overwhelming would probably be closer to reality.

 

There are several reasons for this: I discovered just before going there that the workshop is located on the site of the former Academy of Fine Arts in Brive where Pierre and I simultaneously followed the same courses of Jacques Knight for many years. The place remained intact except that the building is no longer heated and time has since passed.

When we cross the door of the workshop on the first floor, the huge room is familiar to me, I find the fragrances of the ambient air, the effluences of the past. I wouldn't talk about it if the notion of temporality hadn't hit me hard in parallel with the sculptures of Pierre Mouzat." ...
